Wilma M. Danner, 97, of Table Grove, IL, passed away at 8:55 am on Friday, February 10, 2017 at her home. She was born on September 1, 1919 in Marietta, IL, the daughter of William and Bertha (Anderson) Hummell. Wilma married Harold Danner on August 27, 1956 in Jefferson City, MO. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1998.
Also preceding her in death were her son William McCamant, Sr., her 2 brothers, Edward Hummell and Phillip Carl Dimmitt, granddaughter Lori Robinson, and niece Julie Atwater.
Survivors include her 3 granddaughters, Tena (and Lewis) Lashbrook of Table Grove, Theresa McCamant of Colchester, IL and Brenda (and Randy) Stambaugh of Astoria, IL, 4 Grandsons, Marlin (and Jennifer) White of Browning, IL, Marion (Shattea) White of Table Grove, John (and Tammy) McCamant of Colchester, and William McCamant, Jr. of Macomb, IL, 14 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great-grandchild, daughter, Marjorie Brown of Huffman, TX and her sister Imagene Atwater of Cambridge, IL.
Wilma worked at Café’s in Colchester and grocery stores in Table Grove and Colchester. She also worked at The Bushnell Hammer Factory and later at McDonough District Hospital as a nurse. She was a supervisor at WIU for 10 years, retiring in the late 70’s.
She was a Table Grove Community Church, Fulton County Home Extinction, Fulton County Farm Bureau and the Table Grove Legion Auxiliary. She was also in several bowling leagues and loved to travel.
Services will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Table Grove Community Church in Table Grove. Pastor Tim Lindsey will be officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be in the Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Memorials may be made to the Table Grove Rescue Squad or Table Grove Community Church.
