Lewistown- Harold Leslie “Baldy” Whitman, 90, of rural Lewistown, passed away at 1:05 PM Tuesday February 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 30, 1926 at Canton, the son of Lance and Jessie Mae (Waite) Whitman. He married Marilie (Guilliams) on July 5, 1950 at the Cuba Christian Church. She survives with their three sons, Gary (Sandy) Whitman of Lewistown, Larry (Tyrrell) Whitman of Lewistown, Randy (Carla) Whitman of Peoria, a daughter in law, Judy Whitman of Lewistown, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Clyde William “Bill” Whitman, two grandchildren, Matthew and Jazmyne, his parents, Lance and Jessie, one brother, Lawrence Dean Whitman, and two sisters, Eleanor (Howard) Dee, and Betty (Albert) Johnson.
Harold was a farmer and worked construction his entire life. He was a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau.
A visitation will be held from 3-5 PM Sunday February 19th at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Cremation will be accorded and burial of ashes will be in Foster Cemetery at Fairview at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lewistown VFW Post 5001 or Cuba American Legion Post 533. Condolences may be made at henrylange.com
