Canton – Joelle Lynn Wilson, 78, of Canton died at 10:42 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, surrounded by her family at home.
She was born March 17, 1938, in Canton to Joseph and Maxine (Fulton) Brown. She married John R. Wilson on January 3, 1964, in Canton. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2004.
She is survived by one son, Michael J. (Janet) Wilson of Canton; one brother, John Brown of IN; one sister, Margret “Peggy” Marshall and Dede Stambaugh (BFF/Sister), both of Canton; close family friend and caregiver, Richard Whitney; six grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Doza, Benjamin Wilson, Alexa Wallace, Kaitlyn Maddox, Raegan Maddox, and Heather Maddox; six great-grandchildren, Thecla Gavin, Trinity Doza, Jocelyn Nelson, Jak Nelson, Leighton Maddox, and Peyton Lyons; and the family dog, Oreo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Joelle formerly worked as a bookkeeper for The National Bank in Canton. She was an avid Bingo and Bunco player and was a regular at the St. David Optimist Club.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home, where visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be at Fairview Twp. Cemetery.
