Tammy L. Booth
Tammy L. Booth, 57, of Canton, entered God’s Kingdom at 7:05 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at her residence, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was born on December 23, 1957, in Peoria, and adopted by Fred and Marilyn (Reeser) Stamerjohn in 1962. On April 7, 1984, she married Tim Booth, at Faith Lutheran Church, in Sunnyland. He survives.
Also Surviving are two children, Paige (Timothy) Christian of Wilmore, KY, and Ryan Booth of Canton; two grandchildren, Asher and Ayla Christian; one brother David Stamerjohn of Pekin; one sister Sandra (John) Harvey of Peoria, and her parents Fred and Marilyn Stamerjohn.
She began her career as a Surgical Technician at OSF St. Francis. Upon completing her associates of nursing degree at Illinois Central College, she worked as a R.N. on the Antepartum Unit at OSF St. Francis. She continued her career as a R.N. in the Labor and Delivery Unit at Graham Hospital. She attended Wesley United Methodist Church, loved playing the piano, and sponsored two children through World Vision. She enjoyed traveling and visited Mexico, Greece, Italy, France, Monaco, London, and most recently a trip to New York City.
Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Wesley United Methodist Church. Rev. K. Bruce Rushing will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home, in Canton. Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery, in Canton.
