Smithfield - Emma M. Kohl, 76, of Smithfield, passed away Tuesday April 7, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.
She was born February 8, 1939 at Perm, MN; the daughter of Herman and Martha (Hume) Siler. She married Howard Kohl on April 18, 1991 at LasVegas, NV. He survives with four daughters, Marlo Billingham of St. Louis, MO; Martha Tweed of South Carolina, Tammy Shields of Springfield, OH; and Kay Hines of Aurora, IL; five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and two sisters in law, Beverly Siler and Barbara Siler both of Aurora, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one daughter, and two brothers.
Emma had worked as a cook in Aurora, IL. She was a member of the Lewistown VFW Auxiliary, and the Cuba American Legion Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba, where visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Cremation will be accorded after the services, and private interment of ashes will be in Baughman Cemetery at Smithfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cuba American Legion.
