She was born May 14, 1951 in Canton to John Lee and Joan (Beasley) Elson.
Carla married Kirt Pugh on November 28, 1992.
He survives along with two children, James D. (Mindy) Pugh of Abingdon and Kari (Chris) Walters of Lewistown; her mother, Joan McClellan of Canton; grandson, Cole Pugh; brother, Eddy Elson of Canton; sisters, Jina Dobbs, Jill Lohman, and Jenni Elson all of Arizona; sisters-in-law, Ronda (Chip) Piatt of Lincoln and Lanaya (Curtis) Wooddell of Ancona; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her father, one brother, John Wayne Elson; and step fathers, Paul McClellan and Ed Dallfield.
Carla was a beautician for 40 years, working the last 37 years at Klip n Kurl in Canton.
Carla loved her family, flowers, gardening, and the outdoors.
She loved to dance.
She loved shoes and had an elaborate collection of ornamental shoes.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 19th at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home, Canton with visitation two hours prior.
Rev. Greg Ogle will officiate.
