She was born March 18, 1967 in Peoria, IL to Roland and Harriette (Snyder) Koeppel.
Amy married Kevin Mercer on April 26, 1986 in Pekin.
He survives along with their son, Kevin Mercer Jr. of Pittsburg, PA, formerly of Canton; 3 brothers, David Koeppel, Bud Koeppel, and Kevin Heady; 2 sisters, Julie Buhr and Tamra Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Amy graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors Degree in History.
She was an office manager at Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton.
Amy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Canton.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM Monday, March 30th at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home, Canton.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Daniel Ebker officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, rural Fiatt.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary Food Pantry.
