She was born April 23, 1951 at Canton, the daughter of Earl H. and Mary Lou (Morgan) Herrick. She married Rudolph S. “Rudy” Tompkins on June 7, 1969 at Cuba. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one brother, Danny (Kathy) Herrick of Canton, three sisters, Bonnie (David) Howerter of Lewistown, Sandra (Allen) Harper of Lewistown, and Vickie (Stephen) Churchill of Cuba, one sister in law, Maida Williams of Canton, and several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was a homemaker and had also worked for Fulton County Animal Control. She was an avid reader and also fostered cats.
As per Sharon’s wishes cremation will be accorded and there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or to the ALS Association. Henry-Lange Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be made at henrylange.com
