Cuba- Charles H. Bastian, 79, of Cuba passed away at 2:10 AM Monday April 18, 2022 at his home.
He was born September 15, 1942 at Peoria the son of George and Evelyn (Crandell) Bastian. He married Anita McMurl on May 31, 1986 at Peoria. She survives along with six children, Chad (Billie) Bastian of Paragould, AR; Christine (Robert) Pitts of Bayview Gardens E. Peoria, Charles Ray Bastian of E. Peoria, Kenneth (Diana) Schauer of E. Peoria, Zachary (Heather) Bastian and Vickie (Mike) Abel of Bristol, VA; two sisters, Karen (Randy) Meyers of Woodland, TX; and Barbara Stear of Peoria, one brother, Donald (Jan) Bastian of Riverwood, three sister-in-laws, Brenda Bastian of Peoria, Barb Bastian of E. Peoria, and Linda Bastian of Batesville, AR; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister, one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, and one grandson.
Charles was a warehouse manager and a plumber. He was a musician and enjoyed singing in his band Charlie & Company. He also enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
Cremation will be accorded. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM and at 2:00 PM Saturday April 23rd at the Cuba Cemetery with Pastor Craig Yarde officiating. Burial of ashes will be at Cuba Cemetery. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
