Ronald E. Worsfold

Ronald E. Worsfold, 69, of rural Elmwood, passed away at 7:36 p.m., on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at OSF Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL.

He was born December 1, 1951, in Canton, to Merle and Maxine (Camp) Worsfold. He married Suzanne Coulter on July 14, 1979, at the First Federated Church in Peoria. They were together for 42 years. She survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Dave (Shirley) Worsfold; one sister, Patricia (Jim) Boon; several nieces and nephews; and his two cats, Ellis and Emmie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Dennis Worsfold.
After Ron graduated from high school in 1971, he worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for a few years. He then sold cars and had his own body shop. During the same time, he worked at Caterpillar as a Quality Control Leader. He retired in 2007 after 35 years. More recently, he enjoyed traveling, and helping his brother farm. Ronald was of the Christian faith.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the Elmwood United Methodist Church. A service will then immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Due to the Covid mandates, the family has requested that all attending please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to B.Y.E. Ambulance and the Elmwood United Methodist Chruch.
