Evelyn J. Lowe

Canton - Evelyn J. Lowe, 84, of Canton, passed away at 5:23 pm, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on January 19, 1937 in Fairview to John and Anna (Elias) Widger. Evelyn married Jack Lowe and he preceded her in death in 1993. Also preceding her in death were her parents, daughter Luella Rosiere, three brothers and one sister.

Surviving are four children; Bill Rosiere of Canton, Debby (Greg) Adams of Sterling, Mary Holt of Canton and Madeline Carr of Colorado Springs, CO, four brothers; Trig Widger, Bernard Widger, Wayne Widger all of PA and Wess Widger of Peoria, one sister; Marilyn Widger of PA, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Evelyn worked at the day care at the Assemble of God Church in Canton for many years. She volunteered at the Salvation Army in the thrift store. She was also a member of the Salvation Army, helped with the Girl Guard, was treasure of the Home League, worked in the comedies distribution and was in the string band.
Services will be 2 pm Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Fairview. Memorials can be made to the family c/o Mid America National Bank in Canton to help offset the funeral cost.
