Edwin McIntyre Hinman

Edward McIntyre Hinman, age 83 of Astoria, Illinois, passed away at 1:43 am on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the University Of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born on August 15, 1938 in Pekin, Illinois, the son of Earl and Blanche (McIntyre) Hinman. On August 15, 1965 Edward married Nancy Cremeens in Hopedale, Illinois. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter Jyl Hinman, granddaughter Leah (and Jacob) Malek, his sister Karen (and Mike) Wagner, and two brothers, Alan (and Brenda) Hinman and Robert Hinman.

Edward was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

He was an Army veteran, serving from 1961 to 1963.

Edward was the owner and operator of B, H, and M Enterprises, Inc. in Astoria, Illinois. His hobbies included making knives, hunting, shooting and handling guns.

Per his request, cremation rites have been accorded with no services planned. Memorials in Edward's memory may be made to the National Rifle Association or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Memorials may be sent to the funeral home at PO Box 525, Astoria, IL 61501.
