Canton - Mary L. Bixby, 87, of Canton, passed away at 9 am, Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Graham Hospital. She was born on December 15, 1933 in Cuba to Everette and Dessie (Martin) Davidson. Mary married Kenneth Bixby on November 23, 1957 in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1993. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are four children; Carol S. (Thomas) Selph of St. David, Connie J. Bixby of Canton, Ronald L. (Lorna) Bixby of Cuba and Vickie L. (Mike) DeLong of Cuba, one brother Donnie Davidson of Cuba, three sisters; Audrey Day of Ipava, Marie Harrison of South Port, NC, and Barbara Nelson of Sun City, AZ, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Mary worked in a lot of restaurants in fulton county, Atwood &Victor& Dana in Havana and also sorted seed corn for quite a while. She also was a CBer for a while, belonging to the Civil Defense. Mary also loved to play Bingo.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. Cremation rites will be accorded after visitation. Burial of ashes will be 10 am Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Wiley Cemetery in rural Ellisville. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
