Sylvia Lock

Fairview - Sylvia Lock, 86, of Fairview, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019, at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
She was born on October 1, 1932, in Henry, to Harry and Mildred (Ball) Snyder.
She married Glen Lock on February 18, 1951 in Farmington, he preceded her in death on July 25, 2012.
Sylvia is survived by three children, Drinda ( The Late William) Heiden, of Naperville, Ken Lock of Fairview, and Norman (Debbie) Lock, of Peoria, one sister, Donna (Errol) Brewer, five grandchildren, Carin (David) Heiden Atkins, Erica Heiden, Kevin Lock, Brian (Katie) Lock, and Johnathon Lock, and six great grandchildren, Molly, Thomas, Trevor, Joseph, Tessa, and Aaron.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Robert and Delbert Snyder.
Sylvia was a beautician for 66 years, she was a member of the Providence Chapel Church, Canton Hairdressers Association, and the Fairview Women's Club, she also loved gardening.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be held immediately following the service at Providence Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fulton County Farm Bureau scholarship foundation or to the Providence Chapel Cemetery.
