Farmington- Sandy Ann Renteria, 52, of Farmington, passed away at 9:00 AM on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at her Residence. She was born on November 14, 1966 in Gillespie, Illinois; a daughter of Everett Earl and Helen Lorraine (Hitchcock) Johnston. She married John “Taco” Renteria on May 19, 2012 in Springfield, Illinois. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Vicky Kacevicius of Sweet Water, Illinois; Tiffany (Douglas) Lee of Farmington; John Tribble II of Bloomington; six grandchildren; her beloved dog, Tippey; nine brothers, Shorty (Ann) Johnston of Carlinville; Earl Johnston of West Virginia; Donald Johnston of Carlinville; John (Teresa) Johnston of Carlinville; Junior Lee (Charlene) Johnston of West Virginia; Henry Johnston of Carlinville; David (Mary) Johnston of Carlinville; Robert (Donna) Hitchcock, and Raymond (Kim) Hitchcock both of Gibson City; two sisters, Lorraine (Scott) Boyd of Virden, Illinois; Sue Bay of Carlinville.
Sandy enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children, she loved to sew, bake and cook, was an avid dart player, and loved watching WWE wrestling with her husband.
Per Sandy’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. To make online condolences please visit www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
