Canton - Edward R. Reed, 56, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Graham Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born on August 7, 1961 in Canton to Raymond and Beatrice (Brown) Reed. They preceded him in death.
Ed worked as a dispatcher for Canton and Farmington Police Departments and later became a Fairview Police officer on April 1, 1991. He also worked in Avon and London Mills and as a Canton auxiliary officer.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 10 am at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A memorial dinner will be hosted by the Fairview Cafe and the American Legion at 1 pm at the Legion.
Cremation rites have been accorded and the burial of the ashes will be at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
Memorials may be made to the Fairview Fire Department.
