Canton – Shirley Foster, 82, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the Richard Owens Home in Peoria.
She was born on June 10, 1935, in Chicago, to Milton and Margaret (Dennis) Potter. They preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Linda (Randy) Potter of Wamego, KS, Sharon (Dave) Benney of Peoria, Frank (Joyce) Spierowski of Farmington, Dayle Sarnes of Canton, Matt Foster of Farmington, one brother, Gerald Potter of Apollo PA, thirteen Grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and expecting one more.
Also preceding her in death is her daughter Sam Spierowski and two sisters, Betty Engelhardt and Toots Scaruffi.
Shirley enjoyed reading, crocheting, working on her computer and was a Chicago Bear and Cub fan.
A celebration of her life will be held from 4-6 pm, at the East Elm Apartments Community Center on Sunday, December 17, 2017.
Cremation rites have been accorded by the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.
