Carolyn R. Ford, 64 of rural Canton, passed away at 10:24am on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Heartland Healthcare Center - Canton. She was born on May 20, 1953 in Macomb to Albert and Doris (Scanlan) Mayo. She married Ben Ford on July 10, 1991 in Galesburg, IL, he survives.
Also surviving are four children, Steve Myers, Crystal (Mitch) Bland, Jennifer Twait and BJ Ford; 7 grandchildren Ali, Tori, Cadence, Lola, Charleigh, Lyza, & Benjamin; 2 sisters, Debbie (Jerry) Heaton & Linda Campbell; 1 brother Don (Jan) Mayo; and a beloved pug dog Ernie Banks Ford.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Carolyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse last working for Spoon River Home Health. She most loved being a grandma - taking care of others, being home with family and watching the Chicago Cubs.
Her wishes include being cremated and no services, to honor these wishes a private ceremony will be held by immediate family at Ford Lake. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL.
