Lewistown- Raymond L. “Bud” Phillips Jr., 88, of Lewistown passed away at 7:20 PM Friday December 22, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born May 27, 1929 at Lewistown the son of Raymond L. and Isabel (Johnson) Phillips Sr. He married Maurine (Stockham) Blackwell on December 2, 1997 at Lewistown. She died November 6, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and one brother. Surviving are one step daughter, Candie (Bruce) Abbott of Smithfield and one sister, Sara Burk of Bartonville.
Bud was a computer analyst for GTE/Verizon for many years. He served in the US Air Force and was stationed in Greenland where he served as a medic. Bud attended the Lewistown United Methodist Church and was a member of the Lewistown Lodge 104 AF&AM.
Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service with burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at henrylange.com.
