Lela R. Landis

Canton – Lela R. Landis, 91, of Canton, passed away at 10:00 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Graham Hospital. She was born on November 9, 1926 in Astoria to Edward and Pearl (Thomas) Shawgo. She first married Thomas Crouch in April of 1950 in Canton, IL, he preceded her in death. She later married Frank C. Landis on December 20, 1969 in Canton, IL, he preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, and four sisters.

Surviving are three children, Linda S. (Crouch) Huggins-Fox of Canton, Kerry A. Crouch of Canton, and Greg T. (Laurie) Crouch of Littleton, CO; four step-children; and one granddaughter, Nicole Marie Crouch of Littleton, CO.

Lela did office work at Huff Real Estate and also worked on the switchboard at Graham Hospital. She was a member of Summon Christian Church in Summon, IL and First Christian Church in Canton, IL.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 2:15 PM at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton, IL. Rev. Nina Nestlerode will officiate. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to First Christian Church in Canton, IL.
