Canton – Martha A. Davidson, 71, of Canton, passed away at 4:52 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Graham Hospital E.R. She was born on March 31, 1946 in Cuba to Thomas and Wilma (Irwin) Ault. She married Charles Davidson on August 16, 1985 in Camdenton, MO. He preceded her in death in 2012
Surviving are three children, Tom DeMott, Amy Montgomery (Mark) Lasswell, and Julie (Chad) Hinderliter; three step-children, Jim Davidson, Terry Davidson, and Mike (Angie) Davidson; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; special niece and nephew who she helped raise, Beth Elizabeth Haines and Mark Ault; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Jim Sharpe, and beloved dog Milo.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jerry DeMott, one step-son, Charles “Squeak” Davidson; one grandson, Jonathon Randall; one brother, Robert Ault; and one sister, Carole Burton.
Martha was happy to be a housewife. She enjoyed painting with her sister, laughing, and being silly. Martha also cooked nothing short of an army.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Pastor Dennis Owens will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the funeral home.
