Canton – Victoria A. Tomich, 72, of Canton, passed away at 2:58 PM on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Graham Hospital. She was born on May 10, 1945 in Peoria to Roscoe and Ethel (Abbadusky) Bowton. She married Mark Tomich on October 1, 1994 in Glasford. He survives.
Also surviving are four children, Lora (Kevin) Becker of Steeleville, IL, Mike (Lana) Downs of Canton, IL, Tim (Pam) Downs of Canton, IL, and Brooke (Joe) Palmer of Lewistown, IL; nine grandchildren, Corey Becker of Percy, IL, Jason (Amber Brostmeyer) Becker of Steeleville, IL, Cassandra Downs of Canton, IL, Chase McCartney of Canton, IL, Colton Downs of Canton, IL, Hunter Roberts of Lewistown, IL, Gage Roberts of Lewistown, IL, Devin Downs of Canton, IL, and Ellianna Downs of Canton, IL; one great-grandson, Colby Becker of Paxton, IL; one brother, John Bowton of Canton, IL; and three sisters, Joyce (Bob) Dixon of Livermore, CO, Lois (Gordon) Lock of Fairview, IL, and Rosetta Shrock of IN.
Victoria was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Fredrick Bowton.
Victoria worked in the housekeeping department at Graham Hospital for 22 years and at Coleman Clinic for 6 years. She was a member of Shield’s Chapel Church.
Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory. Rev. David Meader will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Shield’s Chapel Cemetery in Canton, IL. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the funeral home.
