She was born January 21, 1928 at Smithfield, the daughter of George and Ruth (Chenoweth) Helle. She married Earl Lee Bordner on August 5, 1949 at Lewistown. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one infant son, George Allen Bordner, two brothers, and one sister. Survivors include one son, Cary (Shirley) Bordner of Cuba, two grandchildren, Krysta Loucks and Andrew (Hayley) Bordner both of LaPorte, IN; and four great grandchildren, Isabella, Mikayla, Peyton, and Wyatt.
Berneice worked many years at the former Day & Palin IGA in Cuba.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Pastor Mike Arnett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services and burial will be in Baughman Cemetery at rural Smithfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cuba Christian Church.
