Farmington – Alma Louise Morris, 94, of Farmington, passed away at 7:14 PM on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Canton, IL. She was born on December 8, 1922 in Canton to Emery and Viola Millard. She was married to Elmer Woodrow Morris for 51 years. He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Thelma Balbinate.
Surviving are two daughters, Louisa Morris of Farmington, and Sherry (John) Dick of Peoria; several grandchildren, nieces, uncles and cousins.
Alma worked at International Harvester during WWII. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmignton. Alma enjoyed art, gardening, camping, and being at home with the family.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where a visitation will be held from 10-11 AM. Rev. Jon Dainty will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Norris Cemetery in Norris, IL. Memorials can be made to American Heart Association or Hospice Compassus.
