Canton – Ralph Edward Harkless, 69, of Canton passed away at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Heartland Healthcare Center in Canton.
He was born August 18, 1946, in Canton to Clyde E. and Jessica Pauline (Wilcoxen) Harkless.
He is survived by his three children, Kelly Vaughn of Canton, Craig (Candy) Harkless of Canton, and Brian Harkless of St. David; one brother, Roger (Sharon) Harkless of Dunfermline; seven grandchildren, Nick Vaughn, Jeremy (Brandi) Smith, Katie (Derek) Halsey, Skyler (Ariel) Harkless, Myles Harkless, Chloe Harkless, and Izabel Harkless; and three great-grandchildren, Ayden Halsey, Kaylynn Smith, and Aubree Smith.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Randy Harkless; and one sister, Jessica Harkless.
Ed worked as a welder for International Harvester and later for CIC, and also as a truck driver. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. In his younger years he enjoyed racing motorcycles and was a member of the Canton Motorcycle Club.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Graham Hospital Hospice.
