Doris Williams

 

Canton – Doris M. Williams, 92, of Canton, passed away at 7:42 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at OSF St. Francis in Peoria, IL. She was born on July 23, 1923 in Enion, IL to Selah and Mary (Deery) Wilson. She married Howard Williams Sr. on June 6, 1942 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death in 2009.

 

Also preceding her in death are her parents; daughter Karen; two grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters.

 

Surviving are three children, David Williams of Springfield, Roberta Williams of Canton, and Howard (Deniece) Williams Jr. of Canton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Wilson of Peoria, and Bert Wilson of Peoria; and one sister, Wanda Ford of Canton.

 

Doris was a member of Assembly of God in Canton, IL.

 

Services will be at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Covenant Community Church in Canton, IL, where a visitation will be from 11-1 PM. Rev. Kevin VanTine will be the officiate. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown, IL. Memorials may go to Sunset Nursing Home.
