Scott D. Haney

Scott “Scooter” Haney, 52, of Astoria, IL, passed away at 11:05 am on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at his home. He was born on Sunday, March 4, 1973 in Macomb, IL, the son of Phillip E. “Joe” Haney, Jr. and Patty Reedy. Scooter married Tina Bollinger on July 2, 1999 in Lewistown, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his two sons; Johnathan Dean Bollinger of Summum, IL and Jacob Alan (and Sarah Hopping) Haney of Astoria, seven grandchildren; Zoey, Dakota, Elizabeth, Zakiah, Parker, Oaklynn and Oliver, mother; Patty Reedy Maloney of Lewistown, IL, sister; Mandy (and Marty) Shannon of Bushnell, IL, brother-in-law; John (and Mary Kay) Bollinger of Astoria, sister-in-law; Sara Bollinger and Dan Franklin of Astoria, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father; Joe, paternal grandparents; “Farmer” John and Ruby Haney, and his maternal-grandparents; Pauline and Dean Reedy.

Scooter enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, camping, NASCAR, and hanging out with his grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Vermont American Legion. Memorials may be made to the Scott Haney Memorial Fund in care of the Table Grove State Bank.
