Also, preceding Jessie in death were her parents, one son, Judd (Betty) Isbell, five brothers; Clinton (Shirley) Umholtz, John (Julia) Umholtz, William Umholtz, Charles (Darlene) Umholtz and Thomas Umholtz, three sisters; Nancy (Roscoe) Cape, Anna (Danny) David and Mary (Stanley) Mallory, two grandchildren; Ashley and Robert.
Surviving are her children; Teresa (Mark) Corse of Russell, PA; John (Rosalyn) Isbell of Grafton, WI; Terry (Lynn) Isbell of Elmwood, IL, fourteen grandchildren; Clinton, Cary, Joshua, Christine, Aaron, Jamie, Kelly, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Noah, Job, Paul, eighteen great-grandchildren; Eric, Peter, Kyle, Nellwyn, Gill, Trent, Monet, Matai, Mayja, Paige, Brooklyn, Rowan, Gwendolyn, Llewellyn, Ellen, Jacqueline, Liam, Madelyn, Annie and two great-great-grandchildren.
Jessie was a dedicated homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a beloved sister in Christ as, she loved her Lord, and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Peoria, and later Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria. She was an avid mushroom hunter and she also enjoyed gardening and riding her bike while her husband ran. She particularly liked the spring bike rides when she could stop and pick wild asparagus along the roadsides. Most of all, she treasured her children and grandchildren where she had a special glow of love for them and a sparkle in her eyes as she played, cared for, and lead them through life with the true personification of agape love.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Smithville Cemetery in rural Hanna City. Pastor Mark Nelson will officiate. A celebration of life gathering will be held following the graveside service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 135 NE Randolph Ave. Peoria, Illinois 61606.
