Jared Williams

Jared L. Williams, better known by his friends as “J.Willy” and by his family as “Jare Bear” 39, of Canton passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 in Chicago Illinois. He was born on July 29th,1986 in Canton to Terry Williams and Debra (Burrows) Williams.

Jared is survived by his 2 brothers Jake and Travis Williams of Canton, 1 niece Tinleigh of St. Charles, 1 nephew Trenten of Canton. Also surviving are his Aunt Lori Rumler of Canton, and cousins Jess (Wesley) Kimbrough and family of Canton, Joey (Sarah) Rumler and family of Pekin, Uncle and Aunt Shawn and Jen Harkness of Huntington IN and cousins Andy (Shelby) Harkness and family, Shelby (Jacob) Hansen and family and Brady all of Indiana and Charity (Tovi) Beoletto and family of Farmington and a great Aunt Rosalee Doherty of California. Also surviving Jared is his maternal grandmother Elaine Little of Canton, Aunt Rhonda Starcevich of Canton, along with cousins John (Jackie) Starcevich and family, Kate Smith and family, all of Canton, Nick Starcevich and family of Pekin and Uncle Chuck Burrows of St. David.

Jared was preceded in death by his mother Debra (Burrows) Williams, paternal grandparents Richard and Coralie Harkness and maternal grandfather Charlie Burrows along with uncles Harry Rumler, Rick Starcevich, Lanny Williams and Danny Williams.

Those who knew Jared knew he had a love for hats, all things music and literature, history, musical instruments, and especially professional wrestling. As a small child, Jared could often be found sitting on top of tables, telling all the adults NO, playing as far away from home where nobody could find him but was always sure to find his way home. He was definitely the most random, free and easy spirited kid on the block.

Cremation has been accorded and a public graveside service will be held at a later date.
