Bonnie Jo Smith-Schrodt

Canton - Bonnie Jo Smith-Schrodt, 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on February 2, 1961 in Pekin to Hank and Anita (Grant) Smith. They preceded her in death.
She married Gerald Schrodt on May 24, 2000 in Reelfoot Lake TN. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Bryan (Ketra) Raistrick of Canton, Jami (Adam) Haynes of Pekin, Megan (Daniel) Brown of Peoria, step children, Michelle Locke, Kelly Jefferson, Danielle Ellis, Devon Smith, granddaughter, McKenzi Davis, whom she raised, brothers, Jerry (Judy) Smith, Gene (Michele) Smith, Larry (Barbara) Smith, sisters, Linda (Joseph) Duez, Vicki (Karl) Larson and thirteen grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was one brother, Randy Smith.
Bonnie worked as the Warehouse director at Chemtura until the plant closed and later for various food services for the elderly.
A visitation will be held at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from 5-7. Cremation rites will follow. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Glasford Baptist Church at 11 am with a funeral luncheon to follow at the church. Burial of the ashes will then be held at the Lancaster Cemetery at 2 pm.
