Richard A. Lowe

Richard A. Lowe, 77, of Lewistown went home to meet his Lord at 5:00 PM Wednesday March 17, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born July 4, 1943 at Canton the son of Allen and Wilma (Burgett) Lowe. He married Rose Lowry on October 25, 1964 at the First Christian Church of Canton. She survives along with two children, Terri (Keith) Pierson of Walnut, and Tim (Kristi) Lowe of Galesburg, eight grandchildren, Heather (Allen) Cornett, Hannah Pierson, Heidi (Joel) Schluensen, Haven Pierson, Tyler Lowe, Tanner Lowe, Makayla Lowe, and Heith Pierson, deceased, two sisters, Linda (Marvin) Vaughn of Havana, and Joyce Leezer of Lewistown. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert “Bob” Lowe.

Richard worked at Caterpillar for 30 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Havana. Richard was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and also enjoyed Bradley Basketball. He also enjoyed feeding his birds, drinking coffee with his coffee buddies and he loved his dog Sadie, but he loved his kids and his wife more.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Mike Henson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the memorial home. Face masks and social distancing will be required. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church in Havana.
