Beverly J. Keefer, 89, formerly of Elmwood, passed away at 12:15 p.m., on Monday, March 8, 2021, at Farmington Country Manor.
She was born on November 23, 1931, to William and Mary (Bollinger) McKinney, in Farmington.
She married Robert Keefer on June 10, 1949, in Farmington. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2009.
She is survived by two children, Daniel (Patricia) Keefer of Elmwood, and Brenda (James) Barton of Hanna City; four grandchildren, Tammy (Paul) Seaman, Brian (Andrea) Keefer, Jason (Jennifer Ray) Barton, and Adam (Samantha) Barton; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Wilma Purtle.
Beverly was a cafeteria worker at Elmwood High School for 18 years. She was a former member of Rebecca's Lodge and the Elmwood Historical Society. She also was a member of the Elmwood United Methodist Church and was very involved with the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed playing cards, doing needle point, and making strawberry jam for the Elmwood Strawberry Festival.
A graveside service will be held at 11:15 a.m., on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Cottonwood Cemetery in rural Elmwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elmwood United Methodist Church.
