Carl H. Burnham, 96, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Sunset Manor in Canton.
He was born on November 20, 1924 in Industry, IL to Hobart and Daisy (Whitehead) Burnham. They preceded him in death.
He married Loretta Davis on October 8, 1946 in Portland, Oregon. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2008.
Surviving are three children, Bill (Anni Mitchell) Burnham of Canton, David (Jody) Burnham of Bryant, Randal Burnham of Canton, one brother, Robert Burnham of Fiatt, two sisters, Donita Ridle of Canton, Rose Stubenvoll of WI and two grandchildren, Allynne (Ken) Baumlin and Cecily (Blaze) Pearson.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Carl owned and operated Burnham RV Sales and Service in Canton and later worked for Bradley University as a Stationary Engineer retiring in 1987.
He was a lifetime member of the Canton American Legion, a 50-year member of the St. David Optimist Club and a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.
A burial of the ashes will be held at Highbridge Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Greater Peoria Honor Flight.
