Paul W. Hevland, 70, of Elmwood, passed away at 8:18 a.m., on Monday, December 10, 2018, at his home. He was born on August 19, 1948, in Galesburg, to Wayne and Betty (Stewart) Hevland. Paul married Joyce Weir on February 17, 1968, in Yates City. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Paul C. (Tami) Hevland of Aledo, and Kristina M. (Joe Elias) Scott of Chillicothe; one brother, Roger (Mary Ann) Hevland; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren and one on-the-way.
Paul retired from Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg after 32 years. He was a member of the NRA. He loved his dog, Gizmo, enjoyed playing golf with his cousin and buddies, and was an avid Bears fan.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at his home, 109 South Westfield Drive, Elmwood.
