Patricia A. Ames, 85, of Table Grove, IL, passed away at 10:45 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb, IL. She was born on March 11, 1933 in Macomb, the daughter of George and Gayle (Hardesty) Waters. She married Donald Ames on August 23, 1951 in Ipava, IL. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2015.
Also preceding her in death are her parents and brother, Guy Waters.
Survivors include her son, Gary (and Sherry) Ames of Table Grove, 4 grandchildren, Jesse Ames, Stephanie (and Jerry) Friday, Mackie (and Bonnie) Davenport, and Kenny (and Amber) Davenport, 7 great-grandchildren, and brother, Larry (and Carolyn) Waters of Table Grove.
Patricia was a farmwife and retried from Table Grove State Bank.
She was a member of the West Prairie Presbyterian Church and Table Grove Legion Auxiliary. Family was everything to Patricia. She also loved to cook.
Services will be held on 11 am on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Mike Ulmer will be officiating. A visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be in the Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Memorials may be made to Table Grove Rescue Squad or McDonough District Hospice.
