Murryville-Charles (Charlie) Edward Brown,
age 78, went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 29th, 2018 at 8:14 pm
surrounded by his family at his residence in Murrayville, IL. He was born June
5th, 1940 at 3:00 AM in DeLand, IL to Van and Eva (Jasper) Brown. He married
Joyce (Kiebach) Brown February 25th, 1957. Charlie is survived by his wife
Joyce whom he had four children with; Wade Brown, Vanette (Wayne) VanBebber,
Clifford (Lynette) Brown, and Sue Brown. Charlie had many grandchildren and
great grandchildren who he loved spending time with; Dale VanBebber, Jenni
(David) Knowles, Erin (Steve Sanders) VanBebber, Doug (Janel) Brown, Laura
(Kenny) Acree, Adam (Kaitie) Stambaugh, Haley (Justin) Freeman, Kera (Jennifer)
Stambaugh, Brooke Brown, Eli Stambaugh. Great grandchildren are; Cadence,
Kerigan, Madison, Kambell, Payton, Fabian, Asher, Avari, Matthew, Eva, Kinsley,
Paige, and Ivan. Charlie also has one brother surviving him, Daniel (Janet)
Brown. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Van and Eva and two
grandchildren Loi and Faith Stambaugh.
He joined the United States Armed Forces, of the 553rd Engineer Company,
in January 1958 and was honorably discharged in April 1961. Charlie enjoyed life by spending time on his
farm and driving his semi from 1961 to 2013. He also enjoyed doing the 100
holes of golf with his son Cliff and bowling in the Father-son tournament with
his sons Cliff and Wade. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4,
2018, at 11 am at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation one hour prior
to service at the funeral home. Burial
