Smithfield – Jana Bridgewater, 56, of Mission, KS, formerly of Smithfield, died at 5:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at her home.
She was born March 19, 1959, in Canton, to John and Donna (Henderson) Shaw. She married John O. Bridgewater on October 18, 1980 in Macomb. He survives.
Also surviving is one brother, Johnny (Shearie) Shaw Jr. of Lee Summit, MO, and one sister, Jody (Keith) Douglass of East Galesburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry Shaw.
Jana was a Registered Dental Assistant and Office Manager. She was a member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
