Canton- Carroll Lea (May) Eddy-Beloit passed away June 8, 2015 at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, Florida after a long battle with cancer.
Carroll was born at home in Canton, IL on June 21, 1941 to James and Lillian (Nelson) May. She and husband Phil moved to Florida in May, 2012 to live with their daughter and son-in-law. Carroll retired from the Fulton County Courthouse as a Switchboard Operator working from 1995 until 2011.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Philip Beloit, whom she married on May 23, 1970, her children Toni (Mike) Sweeney of Palm Bay FL; Randy (Donna) Eddy of Farmington, Scott Eddy of Canton; Grandchildren Taryn Ward, Thomas Barba, Brandi Eddy, Janel (Doug) Brown, Kylie (Doug) Riney, step-grandson Michael Sweeney; and great-granchildren, Kali, Ashlyn, Joshua, Kambell, Payton, Asher, Avari, Elea, and James, brother Ira (Mary) May, half-sister Charlotte (James) Ackerman, many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friend Arlene Grisolano.
Carroll was predeceased by her parents James and Lillian May, half-sister Beverly North, infant son Kevin, and 1st husband Ronald Eddy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 13th at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Bill Walder officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Friday June 12th, at the memorial home.
