Earl Snider
Farmington – Earl Raymond Snider, 85, of Farmington, died at 2:45 p.m., Friday June 5, 2015 at his residence.
He was born in Oak Hill on September 15, 1929 to Ace Cole and Maggie (Fail) Snider.
He married Frances Turner. She preceded him in death on August 10, 1978.
Surviving are five children: Jackie (Jose Juan) Contrevas of Goshon, IN, Donna (Daniel) Johnson of Farmington, Earl Jr. Snider of Elmwood, Nancy (Gerald) Shriber of Dahinda, and Debbie (Josh) Rynearson of Oak HIll; three brothers, Ray (Billie) Snider of Toulon, Lee Snider of Canton, and Joe Snider of Canton; and twenty grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children: Janice Marie Snider and Karen Hart; one brother, Jack Snider; and two sisters, Wilda “Boots” Baskas and Evelyn Smith; and one grandson, Jason Cusack.
Earl worked for the railroad and was a lineman for West Central Utility.
He loved fishing, hunting, and was a dedicated Chicago Cub fan. Most of all, he was a loving father.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday June 12, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Brimfield.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will follow at Combs Cemetery in rural Edwards.
