She was born April 24, 1937 at Canton the daughter of Merriwell and Charlotte (Seidell) Goforth. She married Jerry Scalf on April 14, 1956. She later married Robert Smith on July 12, 1974 at Lewistown. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Julie (Jim) Bickle of Reynolds, three brothers, Kent (Ronda) Goforth of Lewistown, Lyle Goforth of Lewistown, and Mark Goforth of Burbank, CA; one sister, Lynn (Jim) Munson of Lewistown, nine grandchildren, four bonus grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and six bonus great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Linda Chipman, and Lori Bucher, and one brother.
Nina was a homemaker and worked as a hairdresser and a realtor for many years. She was a member of the Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown. Nina enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and going out to eat.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Monday April 14th at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Brant Reed officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until time of service at the memorial home. Burial will be in Apple cemetery at rural Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to Illinois Street Christian Church.
