He was born in Canton on May 30, 1945, to Owen and Mary (Francisco). They preceded him in death as well as his step mother Florence Winship.
Larry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet Sue (Jacobus) Winship. They were married on May, 21 1966.
Also surviving is his son Mark (Rachael) Winship, two grandchildren, Ashley (Sam) Hines, and Austin (Grace) Winship, and three great grandchildren, Halleigh and Ella Hines and Tate Winship.
Larry worked for the Freeman United Coal Mining Company and Amax Coal Company. He later retired in 2002 from FS farm services in Ottawa, Illinois. After retirement Larry was a farm hand for his son and grandson at Winship Farms. In younger years he enjoyed competing and riding his quarter horses.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.
