Roger L. "Tater" Dunham Jr.

Roger L. Dunham Jr., affectionately known by all as Tater, 57, of Peoria, Passed away, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis Missouri.

He was born on May 13, 1967, in Canton, to Roger L. Sr. and Dorothy (Daniels) Dunham. They preceded him in death.

He is survived by four daughters, Cassie (Michael Jr.) Baker, Sarah Dunham, Emily Dunham, and Renee Dunham all of Peoria, one brother Russell Dunham, two sisters, Debbie (Steve) McPherson, and Teresa (Tom) Kirkpatrick, and two grandchildren, Anastasia Baker, and Luka Rocco.

Tater is a Veteran of the United States Army. He served in Operation Desert shield and Desert Storm. He was awarded the Army good conduct medal, national defense service medal, southwest Asia service medal with 3 bronze service star, Army service ribbon, overseas service ribbon, Saudi Kuwait liberation medal, and Kuwait liberation medal.

He worked for the city of Peoria for 25 years as code enforcement. Tater enjoyed watching Westerns and Sc/Fi movies, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Memorials may be made to Greater Peoria Honor Flight.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a burial of ashes with Military Honor’s will be held at a later date at Foster Cemetery.
