He is also survived by two children, Lynn (Terry) Martindale of Lewistown, IL and Brian (Stephanie) Vlahovich of Mapleton, IL; four grandchildren, Stacey (Justin) Postin, Brooke Postin, Wes (Heidi) Postin, and Ashley (Matt) Ford; six great-grandchildren, Presley Stambaugh, Cassidy Barr, Gracie Sedgwick, Jianna Porter, Easton Ford, and Briar Postin; one great-great-grandchild, Casen Stambaugh; two brothers, Tom Vlahovich and Paul Vlahovich; and two sisters, Trisha Kendall and Sonja McCormick
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Jack worked at International Harvester in Canton for 20 years. He retired from OSF Medical Center in Peoria for 10 years. He was a skilled carpenter in his adult life. He was a long-time member of the St. David Optimist Club. He also served on the Village of St. David board for 8 years. He served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955 in the Korean War.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Service will be held at 11:00 AM the same day at the funeral home. Burial will follow service at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Memorials may be made to the St. David Optimist Club.
