Jack R. Wells, 92, of Mason City passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at OSF St. Francis in Peoria. He was born on April 16, 1930 in Mason City to Raymond and Margaret (Goodrich) Wells. On July 5, 1953 he married Aleen McCullough who preceded him in death in 1997.Jack is survived by 2 daughters: Kathleen and Karen, his sister Joanne Burris, one niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son Steven and a brother-in-law Joe Burris.
Jack was a graduate of Mason City High School. He worked in the automotive industry his entire career. He served in the United States Army as Sergeant First Class serving in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church in Mason City, Pastor John Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 Am until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Mason City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #263 (1740 5th St. Lincoln, Illinois 62656. Or The VFW Post #1756 (915 5th St. Lincoln, Illinois 62656).
