He was born February 17, 1964 at Canton the son of Robert E. and Margaret A. (Madtson) Parkinson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are one brother, Ralph (Anna) Parkinson of Bryant, three sisters, Martha Vaughn of Canton, Marjorie (Doug) Grafford of Lewistown and Roberta Oest of Astoria, and several nieces & nephews.
Dane attended McCall School in Canton and worked at Fulton County Rehabilitation Center. Dane was born with Down’s syndrome. He was a gift to his family. He let his light shine brightly for the whole world to see and shared his love freely with everyone he met. He will be deeply missed. Dane enjoyed dancing and strumming the guitar at the Clayberg Nursing Home. He also enjoyed his hat collection, Dukes of Hazzard hot wheels, M&M’s and Pepsi. The family would like to thank the staff at Clayberg Nursing Home for their care and compassion over the years and also for being Dane’s “family”.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday November 9th at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Brandon Theobald officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home.
