A. Colleen PIttman

Canton- A. Colleen Pittman, 90 of Canton, passed away at 9:07 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on January 27, 1932 in Avon, Illinois, a daughter of Charlie and Leota (Hahn) Myers. She married Robert Pittman on September 4, 1955 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2013.

Also preceding her in death is her parents, six brothers, Kenneth, Eugene, Charles, Eldon, Paul, and Jack; two sisters, Evelyn, and Vera.

Surviving is her daughter, Rebecca (Jim) Waddell of Canton, two grandchildren, Derek (Cindy Shubert) Waddell; Shauna (Adam) Hukill; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Clair “Skeet” (Betty) Myers of Lewistown; several nieces and nephews; and very special friend Carolyn (Larry) Hobbs.

Colleen graduated from Bushnell High School in 1950, and later went to work as a bookkeeper for Benner Tea Company in Canton for nearly 30 years. She was a member of the United Retail Clerk’s Union.

Per Colleen’s wishes, there will no services, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial of ashes will take place in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Linda Brown Scholarship Fund in care of Graham Hospital School of Nursing.
