Samuel W. Ladd, 86, of Canton, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born on July 23, 1934, in Canton to Allen and Edith (Homan) Ladd. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Sharon (Arnett) Ladd, whom he married on October 29, 1993 in his home in Canton.
Also surviving are four daughters, Michele Baker, Teri Ladd, Cindi (Joe) Jorgenson, and Samantha Ladd, three stepchildren, Richard Mason, Robert Mason, and Raelea Mason Weaver, one sister June, twelve grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death are two brothers, William, and Donald, three sisters, Rowena, Grace and Edythe and one grandchild.
Sam worked at International Harvester in Canton retiring in 1983.
He was one of Jehovah's Witness's belonging to the Kingdom Hall in Canton. Sam enjoyed classic movies, building things but most of all he enjoyed spending time with all his family.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.
