Ray Myers, 92, of Canton passed away at 1:30 am Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Courtyard Estates in Farmington. He was born on October 23, 1928 in Ellisville, Illinois, to Cecil and Cora Ethel (Emmons) Myers. They preceded him in death
Ray married Pauline May Swise on January 1, 1951 in Cuba. She preceded him in death on November 28, 2019.
Surviving is one daughter Cathey (Larry) Fleming of Canton, two grandchildren; Joseph Fleming and Brett (Becky) Fleming, seven great grandchildren; Derrick, Parker, Brennan, Kyle, Colby, Abigail, Brett Jr., two great-great grandchildren, Jace and Gwendolyn and two sisters, Donna Myers and Mary (Bob) Mallicoat.
Also preceding him in death are four brothers, Everett, Eldon, John and Dean and three sisters, Maude, Opal and Margaret.
Ray worked as an electrician for Caterpillar. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean war at Fort Leonardwood.
He was a member of the Canton Masonic Lodge #77, the Canton American Legion and the Canton Moose.
A private burial will be held at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
