Canton – Jesse Wyant, 82, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on September 6. 1936, to Henry and Emma (Barnes) Wyant. They preceded him in death.
He married Eloise (Rice) Wyant. She preceded him in death in 1994.
He is survived by five children, David Wyant, of Canton, Kathryne McGlothen, Of Abingdon Virginia, Alex Wyant, of Pekin, Carlos Wyant, of Pekin, and Cecilia Wyant, of Pekin, one sister Cora Parks, of Fiatt, six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death are five brother and three sisters.
Jesse was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean war. He worked at Caterpillar retiring in 2001. Jesse enjoyed woodworking, fishing and he loved his cats.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton from 5:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will immediately follow the service at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
