Norris-William J. “Bill” Loveland, 75, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Unity Point Methodist in Peoria.
He was born on February 28, 1943 in Galesburg to William C. and Irene (Schubach) Loveland. They preceded him in death along with two sons, Brian Loveland, Harley Loveland, one brother Ronnie Loveland and one sister Sandra Semande.
He married Judy Bugos on December 30, 1967 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving is one son William (Denise) Loveland of Murryville, IL, one brother, Glenn Loveland of Ellisville, four sisters, Wilma Watkins of London Mills, Virginia Grubb of Ellisville, Linda Schneider of Park Ridge, Shirley Williams of Canton, five grandchildren, Brittany, Taylor, Haley, Joshua and Jordan Loveland and one great grandchild.
Bill served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion in Fairview and the 1st Baptist Church in Canton. He retired from Caterpillar in 1994. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting coins.
Cremation rites have been accorded per his wishes and a Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 1-3 pm at the Donaldson Center in Canton. A memorial service will follow at 3pm.
A private burial of the ashes will be held at the Norris Cemetery.
Services have been entrusted to the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.
